Summary
We are currently seeking candidates for an entry level Personal Lines Auto Claim Adjuster position in Eagan, MN. Our Personal Lines Claim Adjusters investigate, evaluate, negotiate and resolve automobile claims in certain states.
Responsibilities
* Handle low to moderately complex property damage cases. * Obtain facts to evaluate coverage, liability and damages. * Identify subrogation and salvage opportunities and complete required referral timely. * Establish and maintain appropriate claim reserves. * Provide timely contact with all required parties. * Assure cost-effective resolution. * Coordinate potential fraud investigations with SIU. * Comply with state specific regulations and state fair claim practices requirements. * Manage expenses through appropriate vendor oversight including defense counsel. * Represent the claim department to our customers, retail agents, regulatory authorities, and other contacts to promote the Company’s image and mission. * Maintain quality claim files in accordance with appropriate best practices and claim handling file expectations. * Participate in individual and department training as needed.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. * Previous claim adjusting experience preferred but not required. Training will be provided. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Ability to connect with insureds and claimants while gathering important information. * Ability to be flexible and adaptable in a fast paced, team environment. * Ability to work independently and use intuitive decision making. * Offer friendly, considerate, and efficient claims service at the same time effectively communicating next steps. * Recent working experience and confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word and the internet. * Able to handle urgent and sometimes difficult calls. * Able to resolve issues and multi-task while handling claimant calls.
