Summary
The Director of Sales position is responsible for establishing the sales targets to meet the company objectives. Responsible for developing strategic sales plans based on company goals that will promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a solid record of accomplishments and a combination of characteristics, including assertiveness, team- and people oriented, analytical, strategic, well organized and detail-minded.
Responsibilities
* Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sale team * Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands the company’s sales base and ensure our strong presence * Own recruiting, objective setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales team * Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with VP of Sales * Build and promote strong, long lasting customer relationships by partnering with them to understand their needs and matching our capabilities * Identify emerging trends and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition * Demonstrate proficient use of SPIN selling while maintaining SalesForce/Dealmaker * Establishes sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales budgets by keeping current of changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors * Represent Company in a professional manner and maintain high level of integrity and ethics * Travel is required
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum of five years industry related work experience * BS/MS degree or a related field Skill Requirements: * Solid interpersonal skills * Excellent analytical and problem solving skills * Excellent written and verbal communication * Maintain high level of self motivation * Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills * Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization * Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close * Effective leadership skills to influence and motivate others * Proficient in Microsoft Office, PowerPoint and Excel, and Retail link desirable
