Summary
The Director, Sales Operations is responsible for overall productivity and effectiveness of the sales organization. This role manages processes and initiatives essential to sales force productivity, including sales planning, reporting, quota setting and management, sales process optimization, sales training, sales program implementation, sales compensation design and administration, Revenue Management and Customer Service. In conjunction with these responsibilities, this position will also own the implementation, utilization and upgrades to our CRM system.
Responsibilities
* Coordinate sales forecasting, planning, and budgeting processes. Proactively monitor and strive to maintain high levels of quality, accuracy and process consistency in the sales organization’s planning efforts. * Implement enabling technologies, including CRM, to field sales teams * Own the CRM system and associated processes, including continuous improvement upgrades and ensuring sales organization compliance with required standards for maintaining CRM data * Support the equitable assignment of sales force quotas and ensure quotas are optimally allocated to all sales channels and resources * Work to ensure all sales organization objectives are assigned in a timely fashion - create, manage and distribute individual scorecards to sales associates on a regular basis so they know how they are performing against goal * Work closely with sales leaders to review sales process quality, identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement - assist sales leaders in understanding process bottlenecks and inconsistencies * Monitor the accuracy and efficient distribution of sales reports and other intelligence, essential to the sales organization; recommend revisions to existing reports, or assist in the development of new reporting tools * Work closely with sales leaders to optimize the effectiveness of technology investments * Partner with HR and sales leaders to develop competencies and associated training needed for sales effectiveness * Coordinate training delivery to sales, sales leaders and sales support functions * Provide input to senior leadership, Finance and HR in the development and administration of sales incentive compensation programs * Direct and support the consistent implementation of company initiatives - build peer support and strong internal company relationships with key management personnel * Provide leadership to the Revenue Management and Customer Service teams, driving alignment and strategy that is consistent and optimizes overall sales effectiveness strategies of the USC region * Provide leadership and direction to the Libbey Retail outlet stores in Toledo, OH and Shreveport, LA
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree from an accredited institution, MBA preferred * Two years sales or sales management experience * Previous experience in Sales Operations, Finance or other related field * Knowledge or and prior experience in Customer Service or Revenue Management preferred * Demonstrated proficiency managing analytically rigorous initiatives * Demonstrated experience in leading projects and project management methodologies * Experience in a large company and/or complex multi-channel environment * Ability to influence and persuade others * Ability to communicate in a clear, simple, concise manner to a broad field sales organization * Skills and experience coordinating and leading across functions to drive projects and outcomes * Must be able to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously * Must possess excellent organizational, analytical, communications, problem solving and decision-making, and policy development & implementation skills
