Summary
Levatas is seeking a Senior Director of Business Development to join our thriving agency. This position will report directly to the CEO and oversee a team of business development professionals. In addition to the primary responsibility of developing new client partnerships, this role will also lead a joint group of account management teams who manage the agency’s existing client portfolio, in order to cultivate organic account growth across the agency. The ideal candidates will demonstrate experience in creating, executing, and sustaining a business development plan. This leader will also evaluate, manage and maintain lead generation and CRM tools, sell strategic solutions, and will possess a sharp business acumen. A working knowledge of principles, best practices, and trends across both marketing and technology will be critical to be able to guide potential clients to the right mix of solutions offered by the agency.
Responsibilities
* Shepherd the constantly evolving business development plan; quarterbacking agency-wide efforts for lead generation, pitching, and closing new business across both new and existing accounts * Create target client profiles, handle prospect contact building, jointly develop effective outbound tactics, and build CRM workflows * Manage 1-2 business development specialists, a team that will grow as agency grows, who will provide list building, research, and sales support * Introduce Levatas and its value proposition to prospective clients using a variety of resources and approaches * Qualify and discover client needs, challenges, and goals, and create opportunity briefs to socialize internally as you partner with internal team leads to flesh out strong proposals * Cultivate and guide opportunities through the business development process across new and existing accounts * Develop meaningful relationships with prospects * Report to leadership on metrics across prospecting, lead generation, proposals, and wins/losses
Ideal Candidate
* 5-10 years experience with successful track record in business development and/or strategic partnership management; strong background in sales at a similar services agency and/or software company * Demonstrated success as an effective leader, partner, collaborator and influencer * Embrace being measured by performance * Strong understanding of synergies between the roles of CIO and CMO * Ability to articulately and succinctly communicate strategic concepts with clarity * Demonstrated understanding of technology partnerships, technology sales, digital agency operations, and strategic consulting best practices and principles * CRM/pipeline/workflow platform management capability * Strong networking, relationship-building and communication skills - strong writing, verbal, and presentation skill required * Strategic and analytical thought leadership; strong executive presence and ability to drive a team of subject matter experts to produce relevant and effective solutions * Ability to scope, create and analyze monetization and ROI models * Must be a self-starter with the initiative and motivation to work independently
