Responsibilities
* Actively manage customer portfolio risk for over limits and deteriorating accounts; conduct credit reviews, including financial statement analysis, and makes recommendations on credit limits and payment terms; conduct research using industry data and customer ratios to assess credit quality, risk and probable default; review and advise Global Trade Finance Manager of overall portfolio status and review medium to high risk customers on monthly basis or sooner if needed. * Gather, establish and maintain integrity of the data captured in SAP (business partner) and financial statement scoring models. * Develop and implement exception reporting to assist with the management of credit risk. Provide support in the design, implementation and analysis of ad hoc requests for credit related portfolio data. * Audit contracts for export shipments to ensure compliance with payment terms and incoterms; audit and approve issuance of letters of credit for potential discrepancies and resolve with customer and /or issuing bank; audit document presentation for letters of credit and cash against documents prior to expiry. * Support the international sales team by applying and communicating knowledge of the U.S. export and international requirements to accurately perform operational tasks; identify synergies and ensure best practices are followed in all processes and procedures; navigate ever-changing international trade laws, regulations and programs that impact credit risk; ensure understanding and involvement with other teams that impact credit risk to be able to provide a full picture of credit risk to the Collections and Business leadership teams.
Ideal Candidate
* 4+ years’ experience in a combination of credit analysis or finance and international business / export. * Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or International Business. * Advanced knowledge of financial analysis in order to interpret financial reporting including but not limited to balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statement, notes to financial statements. * Advanced knowledge of economics and financial theory with application to various business scenarios. * Advanced ability to interpret various financial reporting sources such as Seafax, D&B, etc. * Intermediate ability within collections and utilizing various techniques to convert accounts receivable into cash flow. * Advanced knowledge of Incoterms and related payment vehicles – Letter of Credit, Cash Against Documents, etc. * Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) skillset. * National Association of Credit Management (NACM) certification desired - Credit Business Associate, Credit Business Fellow. * International Credit and Trade Finance (ICTF) certification desired - Registered Global Credit Professional. * Major ERP system experience - SAP (preferred), Oracle.
