Summary
This position is an excellent opportunity for an individual to leverage their analytical expertise and leadership skills as a Senior Cost Analyst, specifically serving the Meadowside facility. The successful candidate will join a team committed to manufacturing excellence, continuous improvement and member development. This position plays a key leadership role at the facility by providing impartial financial analysis and guidance, decision support and development of financial acumen across the entire facility team.
Responsibilities
* Work with team members to create and continuously improve management reporting and performance metrics. Assist members in understanding how they can affect financial results. * Provide financial analysis and business insight to drive key performance metrics * Be an integral member of the facility leadership team setting strategic direction, identifying key financial opportunities, and leading key improvement initiatives * Active participant in identifying and initiating cost savings from continuous improvement. * Lead the forecasting and annual budgeting process for your facility. Ensure that facility processes are streamlined and align with overall company processes. * Assist the Commercial team in developing meaningful and reliable product cost estimates for new products. * Prepare financial analysis and recommendations for proposed capital expenditures including return on investment (IRR). Assist in capital project closing and post mortem analysis. * Drive the development of procedures and controls that ensure meaningful and reliable product costs and accurate inventories. * Coach production reporters * Understand all plant business processes and the impact on cost reporting. Involved in all accounting decisions related to plant transactions * Participate on various project teams
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance **Experience:** * 5 years of analytical experience in a manufacturing environment; cost accounting and analytics experience a plus but not required; CMA a plus but not required * Experience in food or CPG a plus but not required * Experience working with and/or developing meaningful operational reporting and guiding operations members on interpreting and using financial reporting **Skills and Competencies:** * Proven computer skills required (Intermediate Excel, Word, Powerpoint); SAP experience would be a plus * Proven communication skills, ability to present financial information in a meaningful understandable way * Highly motivated self-starter with a demonstrated ability to quickly acquire new skills **Other Requirements:** * Desire and ability to be a thought leader and change agent in the context of a team environment * Ability to adapt to and embrace changing work environments
