Summary
The Finance Automation Project Manager will lead the global implementation of the finance automation solution and be responsible for all aspects of implementation, serving as a focal point for all of Finance.
Responsibilities
**Duties include, but are not limited to:** * Drive all phases of the project – requirements, blueprinting, implementation plan, configuration, testing, data migration, training, policy development, process documentation, go-live, and product administration through the project. * Manage day-to-day aspects of the project, including partnering with the 3rd Party Provider, implementation partner, IT project management, project core team, and various finance and IT personnel at implementation locations. * Meet regularly with project core team members to provide project status, address issues and provide potential solutions, and share best practice guidance. * Travel globally for implementation (up to 50% travel possible) **Qualifications** * A successful candidate is highly intelligent with a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills, meeting the qualifications listed below.
Ideal Candidate
**Education and Experience:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance with CPA designation required * 5-8 years of experience in accounting, including functional experience with a solid understanding of day-to-day accounting processes * Finance automation implementation experience required (e.g. BlackLine, Trintech) * Seasoned finance professional, technically oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement * Capability to develop the architecture / design of a finance system in a complex environment * Ability to thrive under the pressure of deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment while maintaining a positive and professional demeanor **Must also have the following demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities:** * Demonstrated proficiency with the administration and development of finance automation applications * Extensive knowledge of ERPs (SAP preferred) * Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, adept at explaining complex information in a straight-forward manner at a detailed level * Demonstrated ability to lead projects and cross-functional teams, while delivering on-time results * Adaptability to changes in priorities and work direction with ability to effectively manage multiple commitments simultaneously * Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy * Ability to transfer learning, knowledge & skills * Highly motivated self-starter with proven ability to establish and meet goals and objectives * Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with external service providers, co-workers, and finance personnel at all levels across the company
