Our Company

The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco is the oldest Jewish center on the West Coast, providing educational, social, cultural and fitness programs to the community since 1877. Open to all, with the mission of building and preserving Jewish identity, JCCSF programs and services include: • A state-of-the-art, 45,000 square-foot Fitness Center • World-class performances and lectures • Art exhibits and a permanent art collection • Jewish education classes and workshops • Three outstanding preschools • After-school enrichment for grades K – 5 • Club 18 for middle schoolers and special programs for teens • Summer and vacation camps for children of all ages • Youth sports classes and leagues • Free health and wellness programs for adults • Dance, music, ceramics and art classes • Holiday celebrations • Émigré program. English as a Second Language, Tikvah School of Music and Dance, New Life Russian newspaper, holiday programs, social programs and clubs, excursions for Russian-speaking immigrants. The JCCSF is the Jewish gateway and neighborhood where all are welcome. It provides quality experiences through a mix of formal and informal Jewish educational, recreational, and cultural activities. People of all ages are invited to participate at their level of interest and encouraged toward higher levels of involvement in Jewish life and in the community at large. The building is staffed with individuals – board members, management and staff – who are here to make sure you feel welcome and enjoy your experience. Our instructors and educators bring excitement, experience and excellence to everything we offer. From Jewish cooking to life coaching, ballet to weight training, our professionals are integral members of our community who enrich the lives of everyone who interacts with them.
