Summary
As a member of the sales team, the Installation Site Inspector will work closely with the Technical Sales Specialist and Sales Representatives in an assigned territory to monitor production at the Company’s customers’ (builders and contractors) job sites. The Installation Site Inspector will report directly to the Installation Sales Manager with a dotted line report to the Installation Specialist within the assigned territory. This is an opportunity hone your technical ability in the installation of high-value building products working for the leader in cement fiberboard, James Hardie. This role creates potential for career path development in construction, technical sales, and solution selling.
Responsibilities
* Ensures customers’ compliance to the Company’s installation best practices * Conducts install audits to ensure that all work has been completed in accordance with the Company’s established audit process through daily visits to job sites to review the work results with the installation crew and/or the installation company owner or representative or the builder as appropriate * Assists the local Technical Sales team to correct behavior not consistent with best practices and/or the builder’s expectations * Assists the local Technical Sales team to provide installation guidance to builders and installers for all the Company’s products * Ensures proper materials have arrived on site and are in good condition * Reporting activities to local Technical Sales Representatives, Sales Representatives, and Regional Managers
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Knowledge of building practices in both residential and commercial segments * Ability to retain builder attention and take charge of building sites based on respect and installation mastery * Demonstrated organizational and time management skills * Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals * Ability to communicate and work with cross functional teams and all levels in the organization * Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete, and timely fashion * Ability to travel up to 75% of the time. Ability to travel 100% of the time within the MSP metro market * Bilingual – English/Spanish (Strongly Preferred) **Education/Experience:** - Experience in one or more of the following: - Siding business owner - Siding or carpentry site foreman (superintendent) - Home builder site superintendent - 3 or more years as a siding installer
