Commercial Insurance Product Development Manager

Recognized and growing Property and Casualty Insurance company is seeking a Product Development Manager for their Commercial Lines Department. You will manage a staff of 4 analysts who have worked with filings, product development and compliance. Our client would be interested in a current Product Development Manager or a Senior Product Analyst who is ready to make the move into management.

* Ensuring all product and rate filings are made in compliance with applicable statutes / regulations; * Initial review of policy language for new and existing products * Lead the assessment of the Company's competitive position and make recommendations on appropriate course of action including new product development and existing product enhancement * Develop and define consistent and effective corporate processes/best practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency of commercial lines products

* Bachelor's degree required * 3 or more years' insurance experience with demonstrated proficiency with product and rate filings * Experience dealing with state insurance departments and bureaus * Skilled in legal database research and analysis * Excellent communication skills training abilities * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word * Strong understanding of regulatory issues involving underwriting and risk selection matters
