Responsibilities
**Position Overview** * The Cash Management Manager, Asset Management and Operations, is seeking a Cash Management Senior Analyst to join the team. This position is responsible for the Operational Close functions performed by the Cash Management team. This involves executing the established processes for ensuring the Multifamily monthly transactional work is complete and accurate with in the established guidelines, timeframes and controls for the Multifamily division. In addition support and backup members of Cash Management team tasked with performing daily cash movement transactions and reconciliations. **Responsibilities include:** * Prepare, process and review monthly close reports in prescribed format and research and resolved all variances and data discrepancies found within the established timeframes. * Assess the procedures and business processes, applications and tools ( i.e. EUCs) related to Operational Close for methods of automating tools and improving existing applications supporting the process. * Provide training and educational briefings to business partners who provide information regarding third-party Credit Enhancements. * Maintain Credit Enhancement Definitions Listing by working with Finance and Legal to ensure all definitions are accurate and still within scope of Credit Enhancement population. * Business area Subject Matter Expert (SME) and represent Operational Close on projects and initiatives including User Acceptance Testing. * Participate in meetings with any cross-divisional departments as needed to plan development or upgrades of applications used by their offices or business units. * May provide support to applications in production by tracking and troubleshooting problems and ensuring continued and efficient operation of application in production, and full access by its users. * Develop queries, analyses, or reports from applications and tools for management staff of the business units consuming Operations Close data. Maintain provide reporting to Management team of Asset Management and Operations as needed. * Serve as backup to team members in performing all daily banking and cash reporting for Multifamily, including ACH management, wire transfers and ensure that all negative positions resolved within divisional and corporate policies timeframes. * Facilitate and assist in development of cash flow estimates as needed. * Assist in the preparation of and act as liaison for all audits related to Operational Close and Cash Desk functions. * Ensure policy and procedure documentation and updates executed within established divisional guidelines and specifications. * Co-direct Departments Controls and self-testing program. * Provide monthly management metrics reporting based on operational close activities
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Requirements** * Five or more years of experience of related work performing business analysis in a commercial mortgage or multifamily business organizations, accounting or similar financial institution. * Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, business administration or related field * Experience reviewing Multifamily or Commercial mortgage legal documentation * Advanced experience with MS Excel, and intermediate experience with MS Access required * Ability to work extended hours, as well as holidays and weekends as per business demand. **Preferred Skills** * Experience with Freddie Mac Multifamily database Multifamily Processing System (MPS) for purposes of querying and report writing and experience with Freddie Mac Multifamily applications (MPS - Underwriting, Origination and Underwriting, MultiSuite for Underwriting, MultiSuite for Bonds, MPS- Loan Accounting, and MPS - Cash Management) * Candidate will be a CFA or CPA (or be a CPA candidate).
