Summary
Manages a team of Financial Service Representatives and a portfolio of accounts.
Responsibilities
- Hold weekly team meetings to address system issues, new processes, etc. - Hold monthly one-on-one meetings with direct reports to talk over issues with accounts and any work related problems i.e.; attendance, performance etc. - Check credit hold list to ensure accounts with held orders are being addressed. - Monitor call volume to ensure quotas are being met. - Make decisions to place accounts on hold and release credit hold. - Approve adjustments, ECO's and refund requests that are submitted by FSR's. - Mentor collectors with an eye towards elevating service levels. - Resolve issues and handle escalation matters with clients and other Insight teammates. - Processes Legal, third party and bankruptcy write offs. - Updates Senior Manager with status reports on top delinquent accounts. - Hold training sessions for new Insight managers on the function of the Collection Department. - Develop rapport with client AP contacts and respective sales teams. - Must be able to complete assigned tasks in a specified time frame. - Must be able to effectively communicate with clients and fellow Insight teammates. - Must meet SLA's (Service Level Agreements) with sales and clients. - Must maintain their portfolio balances at or below predetermined departmental standards. - Delegate the maintenance of daily, weekly and monthly reports to FSR Leads. - Ensure that all portfolios have coverage during vacations, sick time and leaves of absence. - Maintain timesheets for teammates on a daily basis. - Foster a positive and productive work environment for all teammates. - Ensure that all portfolios are properly maintained and that staffing is kept at appropriate levels. - Develop and mentor the FSR Leads and FSR II's. Identify any special training needs of these teammates, map out an improvement plan and be able to report on any progress. Set SMART goals. - Work with Senior Manager to develop and maintain departmental policies and procedures. - Respond to client complaints or concerns. - Handle all escalation matters from Sales and clients. - Resolve inner and inter-departmental disputes between teammates.
Ideal Candidate
* High school diploma or general education degree (GED) * 2 years previous collections experience * Some college education preferred * Some management experience is preferred
