Summary
The Quality Analyst is required to inspect, monitor, observe and evaluate operations to ensure compliance with company, customer and OEM standards and that all documentation is thoroughly and accurately researched and accomplished. Reports deficiencies and recommends corrective action. Supports projects and processes that ensure continuous improvements adding value to our customers and business units.
Responsibilities
* Perform inspections of purchased parts, subassemblies or finished company products according to well defined criteria using standard physical, mechanical and/ or electrical measurements. * Conduct and document process and system audits using written procedures as audit standards. * Accurately document the results of the inspections and audits. * Participate in the construction and/or revision of SOPs for the inspection function. * Assist in the writing and updating inspection procedures, protocol and checklists. * Evaluate problems and make initial recommendations for possible corrective action to supervisor. * Checks to ensure that housekeeping procedures and EHS regulations are met in the general performance of duties. * Perform investigations and audits of nonconformance; assist with corrective actions and preventative actions. * Participate in special projects outside the QA Unit, as needed. * Carryout additional tasks related to product quality assurance and meeting established standards for quality and efficiency. * Must be decisive with strong analytical and technical skills, and able to constructively solve problems with creativity and latitude. * Actively supports quality control and continuous improvement through participation in engineering change requests and other improvement programs. * Will also assist in supplier evaluation through data collection, auditing, and source inspection. May be required to do special testing, engineering support work, and other quality assurance activities. * Writes work instructions, procedures, and special instructions as required. * Assists in In-process/Final Inspection as required. * Adheres to and supports the Quality Policy as well as all ISO-9001 Quality System procedures and guidelines. * Prepares audit plans and checklists for all product lifecycle quality related activities * Assist Quality Engineers with root cause analysis investigations and corrective action development * Investigates internal audit-related findings and helps coordinate activities to resolve issues * Works with quality management and support staff to develop solutions to help manage variability * Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization * Secret clearance is required. Must be a US Citizen.
Ideal Candidate
**Experience and Education Requirements** * 5 years’ experience in government/military or comparable civilian environment * An Associates Degree is preferred **The Quality Analyst must have the following abilities and knowledge:** * A minimum of 5 years demonstrated experience in Quality Assurance processes. * An Associates Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred. * Must have experience interpreting technical publications, blueprints, wiring diagrams, aperture cards, and inspection findings. * Must have complete knowledge and understanding of aircraft logs and records. * Be knowledgeable of aviation and ground safety and management. * Experience with DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, and DFAR regulations preferred. * Superior customer interface skills * Excellent problem solving skills * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
