Summary

OSI Electronics, has a diverse client base who is seeking an Assembler II.

Responsibilities
  • Must hand solder using microscope (fine pitch soldering)
  • Performs various, repetitive tasks associated with the manufacturing of electronic assemblies and sub-assemblies
  • Follow instructions listed on production routings and assembly documentation
  • Must be mechanically inclined
  • Uses special or standard hand tools
  • Must pay attention to detail
  • Operator will perform but is not limited to the following duties: apply labels, attach components, apply adhesives, use adjustable torque screw drivers, understand torques required for determined screw nut sizes

Ideal Candidate
  • Must have a minimum of 3+ years of experience
  • Mechanically inclined
  • Must have High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be able to grip small objects
  • Must be able to see small objects
  • Must be able to distinguish colors
  • Must be able to perform repetitive hand motions for a full scheduled work day
  • Must be US Persons (based on ITAR/Military criteria)
  • Must have problem solving abilities
  • Certificate from a two year college or technical training school desired
  • Ability to read, speak, write and understand English preferred
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions
  • Must have working knowledge of IPC-A-610 and J-Standard
  • Non telecommuting position; must have a physical presence in the production area on a daily and ongoing basis
  • Must be able to read, write, and verbally effectively communicate in the business language (English)
