Summary
Licensing Support Team Manager (Insurance) The Licensing Support Team Manager provides the hands-on support and guidance for a team of administrative professionals who see to the licensing and appointment needs for both in house and contracted agents. It is expected to take the lead on ensuring productivity goals are met, quality of work product is maintained and processes are streamlined, all while operating within mandated industry guidelines and best business practices. This role will lead the charge for innovative process changes within the department.
Responsibilities
* Lead and direct team members in providing a superior level of service to agents and maintaining the business relationships required of a critical operational function through a data-driven approach * Manage resources for maximum effectiveness in a positive culture, ensuring daily work is processed within established standards for productivity and quality * Adhere to state insurance regulation requirements as well as internal business practices and procedures * Assist with developing and revising effective operational policies and procedures * Effectively conduct regular team and individual meetings * Coach, mentor and develop employees to achieve production goals and encourage personal development * Work to ensure clear, seamless and regular communication with the Agent Support, Sales and Compliance departments
Ideal Candidate
* A minimum of 3 - 4 years’ dedicated licensing experience in the insurance or financial industries is required * A minimum of 3 years’ previous management/direct supervision experience (within the insurance or financial industries) is also required * A minimum of 3 - 4 years of health insurance licensing and appointment experience. * Technologically savvy, highly proficient within the MS Office suite (Excel, Word in particular)
