Summary

Assists Account Team in servicing the consulting responsibilities of Hays employee benefit clients. Utilizes technical expertise to assist in retaining present clients. Administers marketing and renewal functions. Assists client with daily service functions. Acquires a knowledge of all phases of the Consultant role within the Employee Benefits Department.

Responsibilities
  • Prepares and submits client utilization and financial reporting on a monthly basis to Senior Benefits Analyst, Consultant and to client.
  • Assists in the implementation of new and existing clients, specifically client financial reporting.
  • Works closely with medical and ancillary insurance carriers to gather financial data for client monthly reports and ad hoc reporting as needed.
  • Prepares Requests for Proposals (RFP) for client insurance coverages as advised by Senior Analyst.
  • Works with Senior Benefits Analyst and Consultants on marketing and renewal presentations.
  • Assists clients and markets to answer questions and resolve issues.
  • Confers with Consultants to identify, plan, and develop methods and procedures to obtain greater efficiency and effectiveness of benefit programs.
  • Reviews contracts, summary plan descriptions, and agreements for accuracy using checklists
  • Performs routine service functions for the clients as directed by the Senior Analyst and Consultant.
  • Assists in the development of employee communications and onsite open enrollments.
  • Participates in market meetings, seminars, and training programs as directed.
Ideal Candidate
  • A knowledge of all lines of insurance benefits. Good oral and written communication skills and the ability to independently make accurate decisions.
  • Minimum two (2) years in an insurance-related industry or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong computer skills: specifically Microsoft Excel
  • Strong mathematical and organizational skills.
  • Active life/accident and health agent license is a plus
