The Controller is responsible to lead & grow people, to be able to develop new financial systems and processes, to interface with all levels of management throughout the company (including our corporate parent), to interact with customers, banks, and governmental agencies and to constantly look for ways to take advantage of technology. The job is challenging but has the opportunity to impact the company in a very direct way.

* Lead the accounting (general ledger, costing, accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets & banking) and order entry functions of DaySpring. There are 12 positions in these functions, 6 of which report directly to the Controller. * Establish, review and audit policies for these functions along with the ensuring compliance of Hallmark corporate policies. * Prepare financial reports, including monthly financial statements. * Lead for audits (internal, sales & use tax, etc.) * Participate in key cross-functional teams. * Interact with a wide range of constituents, from customers to senior management to Hallmark leaders to Governmental agencies.

**Basic Qualifications** * Bachelor’s Degree or higher * Eight years of work experience in finance/accounting * Three years of management experience **Preferred Qualifications** * Strong verbal & written communication skills * High attention to detail * Stand with conviction * Explicit sense of compliance * Proficiency with MS Excel, basic aptitude with MS Word * Ability to read, analyze, and understand common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. * Ability to respond to complex or difficult inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. * Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. * Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables * Masters in Accounting or CPA * Basic knowledge of cubes * Basic knowledge of Qlik * Understanding of and appreciation for the DaySpring Mission
