Summary
The Staffing Coordinator/Trainer is the liaison between Greencore Minneapolis & the Temporary Staffing Agencies and is responsible for ensuring we have adequate temporary staffing levels for all levels of production including, but not limited to food production, sanitation and warehouse. This includes efficiently filling temporary staffing needs based on the Supervisors order, checking-in temporary employees onto the Production floor, orienting the temporary employees with the Company as well as ensuring Good Manufacturing Practices are followed. In addition, this position requires the Staffing Coordinator/Trainer to be on the production floor 70% of the time.
Responsibilities
* Efficiently filling all open assignments based on supervisor provided temporary order form. * Ensures employees are appropriately screened and processed to begin assignments. * Complete onboarding process, including GMP training, time clock, etc. * Monitor GMP Violations. * Provides customer service to all temporary employees by acting as a contact person for questions relating to all areas of Human Resources. Works in conjunction with appropriate temporary staffing firm. * Oversee and train employees on new assignments and complete all required training documentation. * Assist new hires in the onboarding process with understanding their role and integrating them in their group. * Communicate with managers and employees regularly to establish rapport, gauge morale, and source new candidate leads. Communicate with Lead in Supervisors regarding staffing needs such as shortages, quality issues, etc. * Identify and submit qualified candidates for critical positions to Safety/HR Manager based on current openings and provided job description. * Field continuous improvement ideas and submit to Management. * Works with temporary staff firm in resolving job-related problems. Assists management with employee discipline, up to and including termination. * Submit weekly timecards to appropriate temporary agency. * Process and review temporary agency invoicing. * Administrative Duties and Record Keeping. * Maintains first aid/safety equipment inventory, performs periodic safety inspections and audits as assigned. * Receptionist duties include, but are not limited to greeting visitors, monitoring all entrances and/or mail distribution. * Communicates on a timely basis with Safety/HR Manager. * Complete HR & EH&S projects as assigned by the Safety/HR Manager. * Must have good presentation skills. * On Production Floor 70% of time. * Assists with production line as needed and/or required. * Other duties and/responsibilities may change due to changes in business, customer needs and changing staff etc.
Ideal Candidate
**Education And/Or Experience** Associate’s/Bachelor’s Degree is preferred and/or high school degree necessary; or equivalent combination of education/experience. **Language Skills** Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Fluent in Spanish preferred. **Mathematical Skills** Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. **Reasoning Skills** Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. **Physical Demands** While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently is required to walk and is usually required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. **Other Skills And Abilities** Intermediate skills in Word, Excel, and E-Mail. Must have experience with office equipment to include printer, copier, and fax machine.
