Great American Insurance Group is engaged primarily in property and casualty insurance ("P&C"), focusing on specialized commercial products for businesses, and in the sale of traditional fixed and fixed-indexed annuities.
Summary
We are looking to fill a National Key Accounts Manager position for our IMO/IBD distribution channel. This position will consist of 50% travel and individuals must have existing relationships with or knowledge of financial technology companies.
Responsibilities
* Grow annuity sales within the registered channel specifically focused on BD/RIA wholesaling effort. * Develop relationships major custodians and 3rd party data aggregation systems. * Develop an understanding of how their reporting works and looks, online client portals and how Great American’s annuity product line would fit into their software * Work with these firms to accept and display fixed indexed annuity values correctly * Liaison between outside technology (BDs/RIAs, IMOs, and software companies) and Great American Operations and Information Technology teams. * Foster growth of annuity reporting within these firms * Determine software and product recommendation programs that our BDs/RIAs/IMOs are using and how they are using them. * Build relationships with technology teams at BDs and RIAs as well as technology companies. * Determine key technology players within our current firms and work with them to discover sales opportunities within their software and producer groups.
Ideal Candidate
* Candidates must have a Bachelor's Degree in business or related field. * 5+ years of sales or marketing experience in the annuity industry. * Series 6 and/or 7 and/or 65-66 along with a Life and Health license is preferred, but not required. * Existing relationships with financial technology companies is required. * Must have a good understanding of fee based advising and securities. * Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
