Summary

As an Operations Manager, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to tackle new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward. With your extensive technical expertise you take initiative to independently design and implement new systems, designing, implementing, and testing multiple features with little or no direction from tech lead or manager. You collaborate with key stakeholders to determine future direction of work. As the Manager of Contact Center Infrastructure Engineering and Operations, you will be responsible for our contact center systems. You will manage a team of talented engineers in an environment where the team ensures highly resilient, scalable and reliable global services while introducing innovative new technologies and capabilities. You have the technical and leadership skills to grow, guide, inspire and develop the team.
Responsibilities
* Manage a team of highly skilled engineers who design, deploy and manage the systems used to provide real-time support to advertisers, consumers and enterprises. * Ensure great end-to-end availability and performance of business critical services, while simultaneously enabling a rapid pace of innovation and change in technology. * Create monitoring capabilities for rapid identification of service issues. * Manage capacity to match Google company and product growth globally. * Partner with network, security and product teams as well as external service providers to introduce new capabilities.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum qualifications** * BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. * Experience with networking and systems infrastructure. **Preferred qualifications** * BS degree in Computer Science or related technical field. * Experience managing user-facing services and the teams who developed them. * Management experience with geographically diverse teams.
