Summary
As a Marketing manager, you are a fully dedicated business leader, shaping the future of one of our many Google products. Whether you're on a consumer product (like Gmail, Search, Maps, Chrome, Android) or a business product (AdWords, AdSense, DoubleClick, Analytics), you take part in a complete marketing experience as you lead every facet of the product's journey. From determining positioning, naming, competitive analysis, feature prioritization and external communications, you help shape the voice of the product and help it grow a loyal consumer base. This means you work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, webmasters, product development, engineering and more. In this role, you'll be involved with product marketing strategy from beginning to end.
Responsibilities
The Living Room Marketing organization is responsible for driving awareness, growth, and adoption of Google’s living room hardware and platform products, which includes Google Home, Chromecast, Chromecast Audio, Google Cast, Android TV devices, OnHub, plus many exciting new initiatives. In this role, you will be leading core product marketing, strategy, and operations for all Living Room products, working closely with the cross-functional leadership as well as the Hardware & Platform marketing team. You will have a huge opportunity to make an impact in this exciting growth product area. * Lead core product marketing for all Living Room hardware and platform products. * Own messaging, branding, identity, positioning/value proposition, and communication of Living Room products. Partner with cross-functional leadership to drive product roadmap and strategy. * Lead product launches globally, working closely with regional and local marketing, as well as go-to-market cross-functional teams. * Drive Living Room team’s marketing strategy globally, overseeing delivery of insights for the team leveraging internal and external data while managing core internal communications and operational deliverables. * Lead annual, quarterly, and monthly planning for the Living Room, including budget, headcount, Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), dashboard, market trends and insights, and executive-level reports.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum qualifications:** BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience. **Preferred qualifications:** * Product marketing leadership: Proven track record of highly successful consumer marketing leadership. * Experience in product branding, messaging, positioning, targeting, and multi-country product launches. Track record of effectively delivering large-scale and/or multiple projects at one time in fast-moving environments. * Excellent business sense, problem solving, and analytical skills. Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced dynamic environment. * A great passion for consumers and consumer experiences, with a demonstrated ability to utilize consumer research and data to drive actionable insights to inform marketing strategy and improve the consumer experience. * Ability to build strong collaborative partnerships and effectively influence and communication cross-functionally across all levels of management.
