Summary
We need a strong Product Marketing Manager to work with product strategy and marketing stakeholders to define and execute the “Why BetterCloud” story that the company presents to the market. By arming marketing, sales, customer success, and even our CEO with a killer message backed up by strong value propositions, customer stories, and excellent materials, your contribution will be key to the next phase of BetterCloud’s growth
Responsibilities
* Product story - contribute to establishing a story through product positioning and messaging that differentiates BetterCloud and establishes a unique position in the market * Value messaging - key to success in every single area of this role is thoroughly understanding and effectively communicating the value of our product (i.e. what’s going to get an IT professional’s attention and get them to say “I have to learn more”) * Go-to-market / product launch – support the launch of new features, helping coordinate efforts across multiple functions from product to marketing to sales * Market intelligence – you will become a top expert on our customers and target market, how they buy and their buying criteria * Competitive intelligence - you will become a top expert on our competition and help coach our customer-facing teams on how to overcome common objections and crush the competition * Sales enablement – develop and maintain sales tools that support each stage of the sales process (prospecting, qualification, opportunity phase, etc.) * Website and materials - you will be the primary owner of all content on bettercloud.com, working with product and marketing leadership to agree on copy, and other stakeholders on the marketing team to determine what fills in the whitespace around product marketing copy
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years marketing experience, and 1+ year product marketing experience in a B2B technology company (experience marketing to IT is a plus) * Very strong writing skills, most critically the ability to distill a message down to its essence * History of working cross-functionally - this position requires significant coordination across the organization, with product, sales, and more * Design taste - you will work with our internal design team to create and update materials with a design component (collateral, website, etc.), so technical skills are welcome but not required, but regardless you should have a strong opinion on how design communicates our message * Analyst relations (Gartner, Forrester) experience a plus but not required
