Summary
This person will support the Finance team’s various initiatives and will play a significant role in designing, implementing, and executing budget processes with a fully integrated financial system. The right person for this role will have a successful technical and analytical background, be a strong self-starter with a proven work ethic, and have an entrepreneurial streak. This role has the potential to be filled at the Associate level, given the appropriate amount of work experience.
Responsibilities
* Financial planning, reporting and analysis, including monthly budget versus actual P&L reporting by business segment and headcount analytics. * Designing and implementing financial planning software systems to streamline and automate the budget process in order to enable end-to-end input and reporting. * Financial modeling using multiple types of data including internally developed operational metrics * Production of presentation materials for senior management and board of directors * Developing success metrics and tools to track Gerson Lehrman Group products and services
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting required * 1-3 years financial planning and analysis experience in a Fortune 500 company, top accounting firm, or investment bank. * Experience using Anaplan software desired * Must have strong attention to detail; devotion to accuracy and data integrity. * Must be comfortable working with large databases. * Superior analytical and problem-solving skills; analytic creativity and insight * A keen eye for internal analytic consistency * Advanced use of Microsoft Office products including MS Excel and MS Powerpoint * Strong communication skills and the ability to work with a team within pressure situations * General understanding and awareness of financial markets * Ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time * Act with the highest integrity and professionalism in all their endeavors * Think creatively and focus on opportunities for growth * Express a strong desire to work in a team * Demonstrate the ability and initiative to handle increasing responsibility over time
