Geosyntec Consultants is seeking a marketing professional who can work closely with subject matter experts to develop marketing strategies, provide business development guidance, and devise winning proposals related to our core business lines and practice areas. The position is based in our headquarters in Boca Raton, Florida and will support our Florida, Texas, and Louisiana branch offices as well as our Federal Market Sector Initiative.
Responsibilities
This position will primarily focus on marketing/business development strategies and preparation of proposals and statements of qualifications (SOQs) including, but not limited to: - Working with technical staff to facilitate go/no-go decisions, conduct RFQ/RFP reviews, and/or strategy sessions, facilitate capture plan development, and develop win themes and strategies; - Managing the preparation of SOQs/proposals and the like, including research; graphical content; coordinating and/or editing source materials (authorized typically by technical personnel); and conducting interviews with technical staff to develop draft materials for inclusion in service offerings; - Scheduling and tracking individual SOQ/proposal elements and ensuring compliance with all RFQ/RFP criteria, including applicable federal/state, and local acquisition regulations; - Overseeing SOQ/proposal and SF-330 production, including proofreading, editing, formatting and coordinating final production; - Conducting red team review meetings and red team recovery efforts to finalize proposals; - Supporting the development of shortlist and other presentations, including the development of template slides and themes to match the proposal, and facilitate practice and dry runs; and - Supporting the planning, execution, and follow-up of business development planning sessions; - Managing, preparing, and revising collateral literature as needed, such as project descriptions, resumes, brochures, mailings, and related marketing materials; and - Advising on conferences/tradeshow participation
Ideal Candidate
- The minimum qualifications for this position are a BA/BS in marketing, journalism, communications, public relations, or a related field, plus five or more years of direct experience in proposal development in an ENR-ranked engineering or environmental services firm or comparable professional technical services firm. - The selected candidate should demonstrate an understanding of (a) the RFQ/RFP process; (b) private procurement procedures; and (c) Federal, State, and local government procurement regulations and practices, including FAR and DFAR; and (d) marketing of professional services. Prior experience supporting the development of proposals, SOQs, and SF-330 submittals valued at hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars and working with technical personnel is a must. - This position requires proven editing skills and an exceptional level of computer literacy, including the Microsoft® Office suite and Adobe Acrobat. Familiarity with graphic design and production, desktop publishing, and presentation software, preferred. Active membership in the Society of Marketing Professional Services or the Association of Proposal Management Professionals is desirable.
