Summary
Genesys is seeking a passionate communications leader with a proven track record to spearhead our global PR/AR efforts on our march to becoming an iconic $2B company powering the world's best customer experiences. Our ideal candidate is a creative thinker and mission-focused leader with deep experience in enterprise software or other related technology areas. This global role entails continuously optimizing a global PR/AR plan that heightens brand awareness, supports key marketing campaigns, and actively engages target industry influencers in all priority geographies. Management responsibility includes directing internal and external PR resources globally as well as providing ongoing guidance to social media and analyst relations team leads. Genesys considers cross-functional collaboration pivotal to achieving our marketing initiatives, so developing close working relationships with both corporate and field marketing team members, the sales team, and all members of the executive suite is a must.
Responsibilities
* Actively manage all direct reports, providing professional development opportunities to capitalize on their strengths and support their career aspirations; * Co-create meaningful success metrics with AR, PR and social team members; * Ensure that corporate and product messaging is applied consistently on a global basis across all communications channels; * Ensure company spokespeople are properly prepared to do media/analyst briefings and speaking engagements; * Build a tiered influencer engagement framework for traditional and social influencers based on their level of importance to target audiences; * Collaborate with broader marketing team to plan and execute communications campaigns that support key marketing initiatives; * Communicate regularly with product marketing, field marketing, and sales to determine what's working and what's not, then make any needed program refinements; * Negotiate and manage contracts with external agencies and other vendors; and * Oversee measurement and reporting efforts, including the design of relevant dashboards and reports.
Ideal Candidate
* Can-do attitude and passion for brand building; * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; * Ability to think strategically and lead cross-functional teams; * Demonstrated track record of accelerating direct reports' professional growth; * Familiarity with all elements of the strategic communications process, from planning and ongoing program execution to metrics, analysis, and reporting; * 10 years of relevant communications experience (enterprise software, SaaS); * Customer experience (CX) technology and/or cloud experience a plus * Demonstrated track record of creating effective global PR/AR programs, leveraging both traditional and social channels; and * Ability to identify and leverage emerging business trends into successful thought leadership programs
