Technology Alliances Manager

Appian is seeking an experienced and innovative professional to join the Marketing team in the role of Manager, Technology Alliances. This role is critical to establishing and expanding Appian’s alliances with complementary technology solutions and expanding Appian’s product capabilities through strategic partnerships. We’re looking for a manager who has prior experience establishing partnerships through active outreach to aligned organizations and management of contractual relationships. The Technology Alliances Manager will be responsible for measuring and maximizing the marketing and sales value derived from each alliance.

* Assist Product Strategy team in identifying strategic technology alliance opportunities * Outreach to targeted companies to establish a formal relationship * Education of Appian staff on goals of technology alliances * Set revenue or marketing goals for each alliance * Measure value derived from each alliance for reporting back to Appian management * Maximize marketing and sales opportunities with each technology alliance * Ownership of long term relationships between Appian and allied technologies

* Experience in establishing partnerships, including outreach and facilitating contracts * Background in enterprise software as either a consultant or sales engineer * Ability understand technical fit of technologies with Appian through direct evaluation of product offerings and technical architectures * 7+ years of experience (preferably in BPM, Case Management or a Cloud Platform organization) * BA/BS degree required * Preferably based out of the Washington D.C. area
