Summary
The primary responsibility of this senior Programmer Analyst position is to lead the development of the Analytics Visualization software suite. The successful candidate will be highly driven, adaptable and customer focused. They must have the ability to write and present clearly to a variety of technical and non-technical audiences. They must also be able to work both as a team member and independently.
Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on technical oversight and leadership to an Agile development team in designing and developing C# based software solutions * Design, write, and compile complex code and construct database objects * Document and maintain software specifications * Conduct design and code reviews to ensure software development standards and best practices * Collaborate and interface with external teams as needed * Provide assistance to design, develop, and execute test plans. * Understand and apply software security best practices to ensure all software releases pass application security scans with no vulnerability findings * Work with project manager, architects, support organizations and management to ensure all commitments are met on schedule and on budget * Requires flexibility, willingness and desire to fulfill multiple IT roles as needed with expected to also have direct interaction with internal customers, and are expected to support requirements definition as well. * Coach, guide, and mentor software development team through development iterations.
Ideal Candidate
* The right person will be highly technical and analytical, possess 5+ years of technical leadership experience in software development. * Excellent verbal, written communication and presentation skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations. * Previous success working with an agile development team * Advanced experience in Object Oriented Analysis and Design (OOAD) experience * Advanced knowledge and experience in .NET framework and C# programming language, SQL and Relational Database Technologies, ASP.NET, Javascript, HTML5 * Deep understanding of software system, infrastructure platform and application performance characteristics. * Expert level knowledge of data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, and architecture * Computer Science or Engineering background and education highly desired; * Knowledge and experience working with engineering graphics/data highly desired.
