Software Development Intern

Lucid is a software company delivering the power of human answers on a massive scale. We built Fulcrum, the first global marketplace for market research sample (that means human beings who answer questions), and introduced programmatic buying and selling to the market research industry. We also created Federated Sample, a full-service sample provider that, using our proprietary technology, empowers our clients to do world-class market research.

Lucid is looking for a Software Intern to join our global product development team. Our clients use our flagship products, Fulcrum, to manage and execute complex, large-scale online sampling projects (surveys). The Software Intern will be part of our development team in New Orleans and work closely with development team peers, Product Management team, and business and other support teams.

* Develop software features as described in the functional specifications documents. Collaborate with Product Managers and business stakeholders when needed to refine and modify requirements * Work with the technical lead and software architect in following the firm’s established design paradigms and design patterns * Demonstrate strong unit testing and integration testing practices. Collaborate effectively with the software development team in code and feature integration aspects * Document code clearly and participate in code reviews * Support the business teams and product managers in data extracts and data analysis

* Enrolled in a Computer Science program * Already completed at least Junior year * Interested in full time employment at a software company in New Orleans after graduation * Development experience and strong knowledge of Python, C#, C++, JavaScript and Node.js * Understanding of .NET framework * Strong Object Oriented Programming skills * Strong competencies in data structures, algorithms, and software design * Strong Database skills;Experience with modern NoSQL data stores(Cassandra,ElasticSearch, etc.) a plus * Strong verbal and written communication skills
