Senior Software Engineer, Growth Engineering

* You will architect scalable technical solutions that meet business objectives while building the foundation of longer-term technical strategy aimed at efficiency and autonomy * You will clarify tasks and acceptance criteria for the implementation of solutions by engineering teammates and regularly reviewing code, documentation, and process * You will Implement in-product and outside of product growth strategies across the user base and validating the business and technical monitoring for those experiences * You will Instrument, analyze, and automate the analysis of thousands of users with repeatable processes, frameworks, and data systems * You will own the technical performance, monitoring, architecture, and documentation for the codebases owned by your team

We will hire on these traits above experience level. * 5+ years of general software development experience * Provide feedback on requirements, working with design and product management * Ability to breakdown tasks and estimate effort * Communicate a service oriented architecture and component design * Strength in an object-oriented language like Ruby, Python, or Java * Ability to communicate complex technical problems in a simple, accessible way * Comfortable speaking with and learning from real end users of New Relic * Computer Science degree or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** * Worked in an agile development process with continuous improvement * Knowledge of web architectures using Javascript, Angular and/or React * Management of SQL databases, schema design, and query optimization * Developing RESTful web service APIs * Delivering products in a SaaS company * Solid understanding of data structures, and data modeling * Knowledgeable about design patterns
