Responsibilities
* Directly overseeing the activities of the sales team responsible for growing revenue through selling cloud and cloud-related services to existing Ellucian clients. * Selling and Closing Million Dollar++ Managed Services Contracts: Cloud Services (Applications Hosting; Remote Applications Management; 24/7 Help Desk) * Being a Hands-on sales manager working side by side with our salespeople and sales managers on campus to build relationships, help drive sales and strategize on sales campaigns reporting to the head of North American sales. * Driving and manage the strategic selling process and methodology using Target account selling (TAS), Strategic Account Selling and Command of Message Sales Messaging and Account Management. * Owning client satisfaction, insuring a positive working relationship, long-term retention, and the ability to use the client for references. * Establishing and implementing short and long-range goals, objectives and tactics that align with the company’s strategic plan. * Working closely with senior management to accurately forecast revenue/bookings and report on the required sales metrics. * Continuous mentoring of sales managers and sales people for both personal and professional development and growth. * Representing Ellucian at trade shows and conferences as a member of the leadership team. * Being a road warrior….this job involves up to 40-50% nationwide travel. * This is a remote position.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelors degree required. * Strong leadership with a proven track record of successfully leading a sales organization through change and rapid revenue growth. * Minimum of 5 years of sales management experience selling enterprise software & service solutions with a track record of consistently meeting sales budgets. * Minimum 7 years selling IT management services, outsourcing, consulting, and/or Cloud services. * Extensive knowledge of selling enterprise software applications (preferably ERP applications to the Higher Education market). * ERP a plus but not mandatory. * Higher Ed experience a plus but not mandatory. * Strong communication skills, presentation skills and the ability to cultivate “trusted advisor” relationships with clients and Ellucian partners.
