Front End Technical Lead/Senior Developer

Front End Technical Leads at Domani Studios are passionate about technology and hungry to push the envelope. They are highly motivated to guide projects from scoping through development to a successful launch. We are looking for great team players that can work on their own and guide others with minimal supervision. We are particularly interested in individuals possessing a quality oriented attitude, with attention to detail and the ability to creatively debug and provide on-the-fly problem solving.

• Providing feedback on creative concepts as it relates to technical feasibility with solutions research as required
• Provide technical visibility into projects for senior management
• Provide solutions in line with approved design specifications, scope, and timelines
• Develop prototypes to help with selection of solution options
• Provide estimates for development work to include analysis, programming, and testing related to project milestones
• Participate in internal and client production reviews
• Provide appropriate feedback on the status of project work or problem resolution
• Analyze software problems and provide solutions to those problems
• Keep open and continuous communications with project managers and other members of team with regard to workload and project status
• Mix of coding and technical project management/oversight involving other developers
• Presenting to both internal management and external clients and vendors
• Ability to understand, recognize, and work within client technology desires and constraints
• Draft documentation and functional requirements and review statements of work

Requirements:

• Expert knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, and JSON
• Expert knowledge of mobile web and responsive/adaptive design
• Deep knowledge of cross-browser and platform consistency
• Experience with client-side MVC (Backbone, Angular, etc.)
• Experience with build scripts and tools like Grunt and Gulp
• Expertise with layout and design applications such as Adobe CS
• Knowledge of PHP, MySQL, and other scripting languages
• Experience building data-driven web applications
• Knowledge of RESTful API structure and OAuth
• Experience implementing tracking services such as Google Analytics and Omniture
• Experience with version control systems (Git)
• Knowledge of databases and content management systems
• Comfort with *nix command line

Bonus points:

• Previous technology management experience
• Experience and/or comfort with back end technologies, server configuration, server administration, web application servers (Apache/Nginx), hosting, DNS, and caching
• Advocate of front end best practices (progressive enhancement, semantic markup, reusability, etc.) and experience in improving development workflows
• Active participation in the developer community
• Previous interactive agency experience
