This position reports to the Director of Systems Development and is responsible for programming, deploying, and supporting end user applications and integrations between business-critical systems. The ideal candidate will have experience developing user facing applications with an understanding of retail concepts. The Developer position is a strategic position for Design Within Reach as we pursue top rank as a leader in the design industry. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and experienced with development languages and concepts. The following highlights the responsibilities and experience required to be considered for the position:

- Perform end-to-end requirements gathering, programming, and deployment duties within SDLC guidelines. - Participate in installation planning and prepare the required logical interface between related programs. - Analyze integration performance and results and revise logic and/or procedures as needed. - Work in partnership with other departments and members of IT & IS teams on issues relating to system quality, usability, and reliability. - Perform technical analysis, design, configuration and implementation support for 3rd party system integration and utilization. - Troubleshoot system integration issues escalated from support team. - Adhere to project schedule and time estimate requirements.

**Required Technical Skills** - Object Oriented programming (VB/C#/Java) - SOAP and ReST API development and consumption - Dell Boomi architecture - Solid understanding of application development methodologies **Familiarity/expertise with one or more of the following a plus** - Salesforce.com architecture, API, VisualForce/Apex classes and triggers, SOQL - Netsuite API & SuiteScripting - Web development (HTML, JavaScript, ASP/JSP, MVC) - DemandWare eCommerce platform API architecture **Required Soft Skills** - Abstract thinking and the ability to work closely with others as well as independently when required - Action oriented, highly self-motivated - Outstanding attention to detail - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities - Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment - Ability to manage multiple, often competing, priorities and tasks and follow through to completion on strict deadlines. - Excellent written and oral communication skills - Ability and desire to conduct research into software development practices and problem solving strategies - Friendly presence and helpful attitude; good interpersonal skills - Ability to work overtime as needed along with some weekends **Required Experience** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or 2 years equivalent experience - Demonstrated success building custom business solutions using internal and/or cloud based software development platforms - Experience analyzing business requirements and designing successful solutions based on those requirements
