Responsibilities
* We are looking for an exceptional leader for our San Francisco office. The Director will manage an organization of 25-30 people including three Account Directors as their direct reports. The Director will report to the Vice President of Client Development who is also based in San Francisco. * Directors lead a large portfolio of accounts and are expected to set quarterly revenue targets for each Account Director's portfolio, ensure upside potential is realized, risk mitigated and financial expectations met. * Directors are responsible for ensuring all account teams are optimally staffed, developed and built using organizational structures that are highly scalable. * Directors ensure Account Directors employ the growth share matrix and apply resources against those advertisers that represent significant growth/market share for CJ and develop highly scalable processes and tools to service those who do not. * Directors are responsible for elevating the capability of CJ's service teams, communicating and training employees' on the core competences associated with their role, leading the annual performance review processes, and all that they entail. * Directors address complex issues that cannot be addressed by Account Directors and account teams. * Directors are responsible for ensuring CJ's advertiser development team is delivering double digit growth YOY and developing and implementing strategic initiatives to ensure CJ's success today and in the future, including supporting or leading cross functional category leadership initiatives. * Directors function as trusted advisors to CJ's most strategic clients and build relationships up and across the advertiser organization to ensure CJ's activities are aligned and contribution understood. Directors play a key role in getting clients to engage in CJ's most strategic product rollouts or consider product offerings from other Conversant businesses. Directors also play a key role in supporting new sales efforts.
Ideal Candidate
* A bachelor's degree from a four-year university--preferred from a top tier school, and ideally with a degree that includes mathematics, anywhere from business statistics to applied mathematics found in an engineering curriculum. An MBA is ideal. * 10+ years of marketing experience (at least 5-7 in digital) with experience on the agency or customer success side. * 5-7 years of people management experience. * You are able to establish trusted advisor relationships with client organizations--decision makers and influencers--to effectively develop relationships and revenue reliability across Strategic Accounts within your portfolio. You handle client issues and resolve the vast majority of issues without involving sr. leadership. * Demonstrable experience delivering strategy and insights to senior client marketers. * An engaging, outgoing personal style – enjoy working on a collaborative team and supporting a talented, fun group of marketing professionals. * Great communication and presentation skills – written and verbal. * A natural curiosity to learn, understand and problem solve. * Excellent persuasion/negotiation skills. * Excellent leadership and mentoring skills. * Strengths in financial planning.
