Senior Data Analyst

Tile has invented a simple and sleek location tracking app that can be used to track any item users don’t want to misplace. Users can place small, affordable Tiles on wallets, purses, computers, luggage, etc., allowing them to communicate within the world’s largest lost and found network.

Help forge a data-driven organization and culture at Tile. Surface key information to business leaders to enhance decision making. Proactively recognize opportunities by conducting exploratory data analysis. Query and analyze data, find valuable insights, and communicate them with compelling visualizations. Help Tile make effective decisions by answering challenging business intelligence questions and continually improving our information lifecycle. Strategically work across the organization to promote a data-driven focus to company initiatives.

• Query, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in large data sets
• Identify, answer, and own the big questions around product activation, user engagement, and customer churn. Own Tile’s “Data Dictionary”.
• Apply descriptive, inferential, and predictive statistical techniques, while conveying the significance of results
• Work with management to identify strategic business needs and answer questions, while proactively recognizing new opportunities
• Mentor other data analysts by sharing knowledge, experience and best practices
• Develop and apply strategies to improve both the quality of data and the information lifecycle
• Effectively prioritize efforts across multiple projects
• Formulate and report on meaningful KPIs using raw metrics and derived features

• Excellent communication skills and can work independently
• Very knowledgeable about statistics and the information lifecycle
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Stellar at writing queries, building reports, and visualizing information
• BS in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or Computer Science
• Experience using Python, R, or big data tools
• Knowledge of visualization tools, like Tableau, is a plus
