Responsibilities
The Business Analysis Manager (BAM) is responsible for directing a staff of Sr. BAs, Sr. BSAs, BAs, and BSAs to understand the business’ needs and identify how best to meet them from a business and functional requirements perspective. This includes working with the business and the technology areas to gather requirements for development and management. The role oversees the effort to analyze, validate and document the business and system requirements. Maintains subject matter expertise in a line of business or critical portfolio. * Acts as the lead business analysis facilitator within the IT organization, acting as a bridge between the business and IT groups, and is accountable for a technology solution that supports the business request or opportunity and is based on the enterprise architecture * Leads the effort to determine the process and requirements management methodology practices. The role oversees the effort to ensure that the methodology and quality standards are being met for each party * Management of team resources, which includes coaching, training & development and performance management * Partners with the business to formulate, define and make decisions to authorize business transformation initiatives and is also responsible for benefits realization, supporting the development and execution of a benefits realization plan * Oversees the design, modification and creation of business processes and/or technology enhancements used to implement the business/technology solutions. This is done through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and industry requirements * Resource planning and management * Serve as a subject matter expert on organization architecture and technical platforms
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 6 years previous experience in business analysis, requirements gathering, functional specification and designed * Minimum 6 years prior people management experience including personnel development, reviews, and coaching * Minimum 3 years previous experience in managing projects following SDLC best practices within a Banking environment is a strong advantage **Education** * Bachelors Degree preferred or 10 + years of directly related experience. * Relevant recognized formal qualification in Business Analysis and/or Test Management is desirable; prior management experience preferred
