Summary
Associate Manager, Consolidations is responsible for performing various consolidation functions and recording the results of the corporation. Specific duties include consolidation adjustments, intercompany transactions, intercompany account reconciliations, exchange rate data, consolidated reporting, financial analysis, business support and special projects.
Responsibilities
- **Consolidation Adjustments:** Responsible for the preparation of various consolidation adjustment entries and elimination entries. - **Intercompany Transactions:** Responsible for the processing of various intercompany transactions within the general ledger system. - **Intercompany Account Reconciliations:** Responsible for the preparation of various intercompany account reconciliations. - **Exchange Rate Data:** Responsible for the preparation of the currency exchange rate tables within the general ledger system. - **Consolidated Reporting:** Responsible for the preparation of consolidated financial reports for the company, including various reports necessary for both management analysis and external reporting. - **Financial Analysis:** Ad-hoc reporting and analysis. - **Business Support:** Provide overall financial support to keep the External Reporting and Financial Planning and Analysis functions mutually informed as to current and future financial and business developments. - **Special Projects:** Work with multi-discipline teams on various special projects.
Ideal Candidate
**Prerequisites:** * BA/BS degree in accounting (CPA or MBA strongly desired); 3-5 years experience; experience with Oracle and Oracle Business Intelligence strongly desired. **Skills/Knowledge Required:** - Bachelor's degree in accounting (CPA or MBA strongly desired). - 3-5 years experience. Big-4 public accounting and pharmaceutical experience strongly desired. - Experience with Oracle and Oracle Business Intelligence strongly desired. - Solid analytical skills and ability to develop solutions to diverse business problems. - Strong attention to detail and ability to work through various issues. - Understanding of US GAAP, particularly foreign currency translation. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. **Behavioral Competencies:** - High sense of urgency and ability to identify creative solutions to advanced, time sensitive problems by balancing achievement of corporate objectives with practical considerations. - High degree of integrity with courage and commitment to do the right thing no matter what the situation. - Excellent negotiation and collaboration skills. - Strong customer service focus, with a drive to ensure that we exceed the expectations of our customers. - Commitment to delivering quality results and overcoming obstacles and challenges in a time-sensitive environment. - Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple work streams while remaining calm and effective under pressure.
