Responsibilities
* Working with the Functional Managers, prepare the budgets and quarterly expense forecast and analysis for Corporate Services and Global Information Technology 2. Prepare and distribute monthly departmental expense analysis reports and provide department managers with explanations of key variances. 3. Assume liaison role with functional department managers, providing analysis and support during financial review process with management. 4. Assist with monthly general ledger closing. Prepare journal entries in support of required accruals, reclassifications or other adjustments resulting from monthly review of operations. 5. Member of selected Project Teams assisting with financial analysis; keep the project manager and leader apprised of the financial position of project; review and approval of all contracts relating to the project for proper financial terms; ensure they are compatible with the business plan and contain sound business language 6. Assist in implementation of new systems and procedures. 7. Train non-financial clients in accounting and control methodology. 8. In addition to specific responsibilities supporting Corporate Services and Global Information Technology, this position will coordinate and perform general departmental duties such as head count reconciliation and reporting, systems reconciliation and management reporting. 9. Ad-hoc projects as required.
Ideal Candidate
* B.S. Accounting or Finance. * 7+ years of experience with a minimum of 3 years in financial analysis role. **Skills/Knowledge Required:** * 7+ years Accounting/Controlling experience (3 years in financial analysis role). * Excellent skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office products e.g. Excel and PowerPoint and experience with integrated accounting software. Knowledge of business intelligence software e.g. Business Objects, OBIEE, and Hyperion a plus. * Ability to identify existing or potential deficiencies in operating processes or procedures and proactively recommend solutions. Behavioral Competencies: * Attention to detail and innate sense to double check work with minimal oversight. * High sense of urgency and ability to identify creative solutions to, time sensitive problems by balancing achievement of process objectives with practical considerations * Flexible personality who easily adapts to the fast moving business environment * Strong customer focus with drive to exceed expectations.
