CEB’s Talent Measurement Solutions Advisory Services Practice is a team of talent management product specialists who provide expert guidance to clients in both sales and ongoing assessment program management scenarios. In sales scenarios, the team is dedicated to improving the customer experience and driving revenue by articulating/translating how CEB’s talent-related products and services address specific customer challenges. The members of the Advisory Services pre-sales team are responsible for architecting a solution vision, and for preparing and facilitating meetings and presentations in high-pressure selling situations. This is a high profile role and things move very quickly within this team: team members are expected to thrive in ambiguous situations. Specifically, we are looking for a Client Advisor (Pre-Sales Team) to advise CEB’s new and prospective customers on the CEB ,Sunstone Analytics, a cutting edge analytics tool during the sales process. The Sunstone offering provides organization-specific scoring algorithms which predict performance and attrition for job applicants using only standard application and candidate resume data. Sunstone’s ability to drive value comes from leveraging advanced machine learning and statistical techniques to unearth predictive insight from both structured and unstructured (i.e., free response) data. The Sunstone product is highly innovative and unique in the marketplace, so neither new CEB hires nor prospective clients are likely to be familiar with it. As a result, Senior Client Advisors are expected to be able to quickly familiarize themselves with new product information and then rapidly transition to articulating key benefits to both technical as well as non-technical audiences. This individual will partner with CEB’s Talent Measurement Solutions sales professionals to provide high-end consultation throughout the sales process to diagnose customer needs, shape proposals and recommendations, and present technical elements of proposals to customers. The role requires a unique blend of business acumen and influencing skills, and is a unique opportunity for those interested in honing their client-facing skills in a sales environment. Frequent travel within the U.S. and Canada is required for the role. Willingness to locate in CEB’s Washington DC office, as well as potentially the Alpharetta or Minneapolis offices is preferred.
Responsibilities
• Support company revenue growth by articulating/translating how the CEB Sunstone Analytics product can address our customers’ specific organizational challenges. • Serve as an expert Sunstone and HR analytics resource to individuals across all customer-facing teams. • Partner with sales team (in-person meetings, webinars, phone calls, written correspondence) to engage customers, diagnose customer needs, align CEB products and services to these needs. • Support effective market positioning through understanding key competitors, developing messaging around key differentiators, and contributing to the creation of internal/external sales collateral as needed. • Advise existing clients on best practices and issues related to their use of CEB Sunstone Analytics. • Contribute to effective functioning of operational processes including RFP response coordination and internal sales support queue.
Ideal Candidate
TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILL REQUIREMENTS Required when entering position: • BA/BSC from a four year college degree program • Knowledgeable about and comfortable discussing core statistical concepts (e.g., confidence intervals, regression analysis) • Familiarity with SaaS deployment models • Familiarity with HR recruiting practices in regards to candidate assessment and recruiting programs • Skill in using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel • Skill in creating and presenting educational materials and high-impact presentations • Ability to travel up to an estimated 30% EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Requirements: • Demonstrated success in a selling or advisory role with large corporate clients Preferred: • Experience working with large corporations in an external or internal consulting role • Experience communicating with both technical and non-technical audiences regarding the application of analytical platforms and tools
