Summary
We are looking for a highly motivated self-starter to help grow new business initiatives at CarGurus. This person will have the unique opportunity to manage, launch, optimize and scale existing and new CarGurus strategic partnerships. The Strategic Partner Manager will lead critical external relationships while contributing to the achievement of CarGurus’ business development goals. A successful candidate will be a strong communicator possessing analytical horsepower and a discerning eye for process and operational improvements.
Responsibilities
* Own strategic partner relationships: Manage, launch, optimize and scale existing and freshly minted CarGurus strategic partnerships * Identify and implement opportunities to scale and improve partnerships. Utilize data driven analysis to enhance processes and operations with our partners. Establish yourself as a creative problem solver who continually adds value * Set, track and report on partnership performance and key metrics. You’ll be measuring the performance of strategic initiatives, reporting KPIs, evaluating effectiveness and trends, and providing actionable insights to ensure CarGurus is driving toward the best possible outcome * Promote new partner initiatives. Work across sales, marketing, product, engineering and other internal teams to identify new opportunities to add value or enhance CarGurus * Support and contribute to the achievement of CarGurus business development team goals
Ideal Candidate
* 5+ years of professional experience, with at least 2+ years of business development, management consulting or project management experience * Bachelor’s degree. MBA preferred. * Self-motivated, well organized and detail-oriented * Business mindset with experience driving metrics-oriented outcomes * Excellent analytical skillset. Able to understand and translate quantitative and qualitative inputs into actionable strategic direction * Capable of effectively tracking and reporting on project goals, progress and results * Strong executive presence * Outstanding communication skills across levels and through oral, written, and other formal presentation mediums * High degree of professional and personal integrity * Comfort working in a dynamic environment * Willingness to travel * Expert in Microsoft Office suite
