Summary
The Marketing Communications Manager supports the development and deployment of marketing communications for Boar’s Head Brand to deliver a consistent communications approach, including strategic planning and oversight for paid media, advertising, public relations, social media and other digital platforms. This position will work closely with key internal regional leads, sales, marketing & operations team members, as well as external agency partners to build, execute and support strategic plans. This position reports to the Director of Communications and is based in Sarasota, FL.
Responsibilities
- Work with marketing management to plan, develop and direct external marketing efforts to drive brand sales. This includes direction and execution for paid media advertising, as well as public relations, interactive and in-store communications. - Manage and develop relationships with external agency partners. - Provide strategic thought leadership on national and regional media plans and buys. - Manage creative development process by developing creative briefs, timelines and approving creative execution to ensure consistency with brand standards. - Supervise brand content used across channels. - Develop and manage communication and marketing support materials in collaboration with the sales & marketing yearly initiatives calendar. - Manage budget/costs to plan of assigned businesses. - Serve as a key marketing liaison to sales and regional teams to facilitate proper communication and provide necessary tools and information for products and programs. - Responsible for making well-substantiated recommendations for promotional programs and merchandising materials to support Distributors and retail partners. - Establish and manage relationships with chain partner communication departments that lead to Boar’s Head inclusion in multi-faceted communication co-branding efforts with all major chain partners. - Manage reporting and tracking of all marketing initiatives. - Respond to Distributor and sales management telephone or written requests for marketing assistance. - Represent the company as spokesperson if Director of Communications is not available. - Assist with the development of presentations for national, regional and sales meetings.
Ideal Candidate
- BA/BS Degree in Marketing, Business or related field. MBA preferred. - 5-7 years related experience. - Exceptional verbal and written communication, organization and problem solving skills. - Supervisory experience required. - Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Demonstrated project management expertise. - Spanish speaking a plus. - Must have computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
