Summary
BLUESOHO is seeking a Sr. Media Analyst to be responsible for creating targeted and effective omni-channel media plans by interpreting sales and marketing data. The Media Analyst will obtain, verify and interpret media data (newspaper, direct mail, digital, and mobile), sales and marketing data to create an optimal media analysis to meet the client’s needs and taking a lead role in determining the strategy to target consumers with local media options.
Responsibilities
* Communicate with newspapers/vendors to obtain and verify newspaper data * Format and upload data into proprietary database * Organize/format/aggregate data supplied by the customer (includes customer store, sales and media channel specific data) in preparation of analysis * Use autonomy in selection of trade areas to reach current and prospective customers by interpreting the following data: client’s sales/transactional data, demographic, lifestyle, competitor, traffic pattern/geographical data * Use expertise and judgment in creating optimal media plans for client’s approval based on media distribution data such as rates, competitors, product type, distribution method, day of week availability, etc. * Create advanced thematic/customized maps and reports, Timely response to client requests and inquiries, Utilize time management skills to prioritize work flow without sacrificing quality of work * Communicate with Media Account/Analytic Manager regarding work flow, priorities, challenges successes or any other information necessary to ensure best practices are followed * Manage $1M+ in revenue & omni-channel; multiple high freq. accounts * Train new media analyst and ensure best practices are being followed on assigned client team(s) * Regular contact with client(s) in regards to analyzing of their media program * Advanced mapping and research involved
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field (Business, Advertising, Communications) or higher education with Minimum 5 years print buying experience and/or account management experience * 1 year of leadership/supervisory experience with proven success in providing professional leadership, training, development and day to day instruction to staff preferred * Ability to demonstrate independent judgment in making decisions related to the account operation * Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, spreadsheet and database applications strongly preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proven success in providing high levels of customer service to clients
