About Autodesk
Autodesk makes software for people who make things. If you’ve ever driven a high-performance car, admired a towering skyscraper, used a smartphone, or watched a great film, chances are you’ve experienced what millions of Autodesk customers are doing with our software. Autodesk gives you the power to make anything.
Summary
Autodesk is helping people imagine, design, and create a better world. In this particular role you will be supporting customers that are designing, planning, building, and maintaining the buildings that we see and inhabit every day. For a taste of what our solutions help create, see our Building Information Modeling page and check out the architectural solutions our customers design and build with our products! As part of the team working to reimagine building architecture, engineering, and construction, you will directly shape what a new world looks like for our customers. You will lead and provide creative direction on key product initiatives, including re-imagining platform experiences and workflows that connect multiple products & services.
Responsibilities
* Designing compelling visions of core product experiences on desktop, web, and mobile environments in conjunction with peers and stakeholders * Integrating business, marketing, research, design and technical opportunities, goals, and constraints into the design vision of future experiences * Collaborating with multi-disciplinary peers to create a plan for achieving the vision while keeping a persistent focus on what’s best for our customers * Communicating, evangelizing, and helping the organization (both stakeholders and cross-functional scrum teams) understand the strategic direction and what is needed to achieve the vision * Being the “design eye” who guides scrum teams towards the common vision and producing quality experiences
Ideal Candidate
* You love ambiguous problems and are able to make the complex simple and digestible, as well as translate insights into actionable design solutions. * You have examples of problem solving where you have led organizations to arrive at successful design solutions. * You are able to guide the design process from framing a challenge, to research and insights, to concept and implementation and can easily switch from macro to micro levels of understanding and communication. * With an understanding of the customer and their workflow, you are able to develop a strong point of view for where a design should go and why. * You love to learn! And are therefore regularly looking for opportunities to improve yourself and your work by soliciting, responding to, and incorporating feedback on how things can be better. * You love to teach, mentor, and support others and enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams where harmonious collaboration is an every-day part of the work. You also know how to guide these teams to deliver high-quality results. * You use a generative work style and can rapidly develop artifacts (be they prototypes, workflow diagrams, or other visuals) to help communicate with others and gain support. * You have experience or familiarity with interaction patterns and best practices in 3D design software or 3D games and game interactions
