Summary
The Technical Sales Engineer is responsible for building customer relationship, promoting our Certincoat technology and proving technical support to customers in order to generate business growth for Arkema. The position is based in King of Prussia, PA. This position is directly reporting to the Market Manager, Glass Coatings, Americas.
Responsibilities
- Establishes and maintains relationships with customers at all level (high, wide and deep) to promote Certincoat technology - Visit customer and participate tradeshow to understand competitor share and threat, market trend and customer unmet needs - Understanding how and why our products are used and defining areas where marketing activity or new product development will be necessary - Assess business opportunity and developed business case by evaluating the potential of new products against the market opportunities, challenges and Arkema strengths - Identify new customers or new business opportunity to support Functional Additives growth strategy. - Meet marketing and sales financial objectives by forecasting product demand; preparing budget; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions - Visit customers to provide technical support and troubleshooting to any process issue - Collaborate with customer service and supply chain group to ensure no interruption of product supply **Key Deliverables** - Develop and maintain customer relationship - Understand glass container production process and key product quality requirements - Develop technical documentation and marketing tool to promote our products - Assist market manager or business director to conduct COV survey and market analysis - Provide technical support, training, and troubleshooting to customers - Work with R&D team to develop new technology and promote it to customers - Review and maintain the Contract Managements System (CMS) to ensure all contracts are saved and summarized terms and conditions are accurate **Context and environment** - Interaction with multi-disciplinary team. - Travel about 50% to support glass coating customers - Overtime or weekend travel may be required in some urgent situations
Ideal Candidate
- BS degree in Technical or Engineering Discipline with 2 year customer facing experience (technical support, marketing or sales..) - Ability to interact with individuals at all levels within the organization (internal and external) - Strong interpersonal skills are required, including composure and professional demeanor - Strong communications, market analysis and customer relationship management skills - Ability to solve problems and present solutions - Highly analytical and numbers oriented - Ability to maintain confidentiality
