Summary
The Associate Marketing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing and executing product development projects for sterilization trays/containers, accessories, and cleaning products that support KARL STORZ minimally invasive surgical instruments and devices in the U.S. market. This position will work with all Marketing Specialty groups, Regulatory Affairs, Third-party Manufacturers, Marketing Communications, Supply Chain, Sales and Customer Support for product realization and sustainment activities for current product portfolio.
Responsibilities
* Project lead for product realization and lifecycle management of sterilization and reprocessing products including definition and ownership of launch plans, branding, content and collateral development, launch programs and promotions, sales force education, and tracking of results * Serve as primary marketing field contact for sterilization and reprocessing products. Engage US sales and service colleagues to understand needs and deliver supporting tactics. * Conduct market research and market analysis to identify unmet customer needs and product strategies. * Manage competitive product analysis, strategies, and supporting tactical programs and messages. * Attend major medical meetings, sales meetings, and meet with customers and field representatives regularly to gather information, identify needs, and assess opportunities to help drive marketing programs. * Build strong relationships with key opinion leaders and solid customer and segment understanding. * Adhere to current organization Performance Improvement priorities * Demand planning/forecasting for sterilization and reprocessing products * Preparation of regular feedback to management regarding project status as well as other critical issues which affect the attainment of project completion dates.
Ideal Candidate
**Basic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s Degree preferred. * 3-5 years’ experience working in Marketing, Sales, or Consulting * General knowledge of marketing principles, concepts, and methodologies * Knowledge of market research and sales forecasting principles and methodologies * Excellence in Microsoft Office programs including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint * Possess exceptional organization skills and the ability to multi-task * Ability to assist in development and implementation of comprehensive marketing goals, strategies, and plans * Ability to foster a collaborative environment and to work with peers in other organization units * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Skill in organizing resources, analyzing and solving problems, establishing priorities, and making evaluative judgments * Other responsibilities and key result areas will be assigned as required **Desired/Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience working with Third-party manufacturers * Medical device marketing/product management, SPD practice, and/or sterilization industry experience is a plus. * Possess a solid understanding of sterilization theory and practice. * Demonstrated proficiency in SAP **Essential Functions:** * Level of accountability: Generally managed * Level of decision making: Wide variety of tasks * Has contact with: Other departments and vendors inside and outside the company * Financial/Budgetary: Supervised responsibility on revenues and cost * Supervision: Coordinate work with one or more employees * Physical Requirements: Light, occasional physical effort * Travel: Up to 25% during the year * Create market share growth of KARL STORZ products within the specialty market * Comply with current laws, other regulatory agencies, and institutional and operating systems * Adhere to all KSEA Policies and Procedures as they apply * Presents professional appearance * Demonstrate willingness and ability to problem-solve * Enhance professional growth and development through participation in education programs, local and national associations, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops * Represent KSEA professionally in all communications when visiting hospital/lab functions and at all conventions. * Adhere to current organizational performance improvement priorities * Display willingness and ability to continuously evaluate and improve job functions and performance
