Summary
The selected candidate will work to continuously improve ADM’s ongoing business credit processes and manage the assigned day-to-day credit and collection activities. The Credit Manager will administer the accounts receivable and a select loan portfolio within North America focused on fertilizer and grain origination and distribution by building a collaborative relationship with the Sales Organization and its key customers while providing focus on risk-management process improvements throughout the organization. This position reports to the Senior Credit Manager-Ag Services and is an integral part of a cohesive and innovative leadership team focused on the marketplace.
Responsibilities
* Decision accountability regarding the extension, structuring, servicing and collection of credit products within the assigned delegated authority framework. * Participate in the creation of innovative products, processes, and strategies to enhance the organization’s competitive position. * Implement organizational business objectives and strategies. * Make decisions which directly and significantly affect the Association’s financial results. * Implement effective credit delivery processes that meet both customer needs and the organization’s credit administration and operational goals. * Collaborate with the Senior Management Team, across the organization, to champion innovation, extraordinary customer experiences, and a unified sales and marketing culture. * Anticipate and/or recognize internal and external factors that may impact organizational performance in dynamic market, business, and economic environments. * Manage credit risk across varying economic cycles. * Perform complex financial analysis and conveying those findings in an effective, written format to the Senior Management Team in a timely manner.
Ideal Candidate
* BA/BS; preferably in business administration, Ag business, economics, finance or a related field * Minimum of five years of agriculture or commercial lending experience and three or more years of progressively more responsible business and operations leadership experience is required * Firm understanding of the Uniform Commercial Code, bankruptcy laws, and commercial collection regulations * Excellent computer skills and proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office software * A history of continuing education and development * Comfortable making quick/calculated decisions * Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively across an organization and provide excellent leadership, operational, interpersonal, and sales/marketing skills. * Motivation to be innovative with a continuous improvement mindset, and act as a change agent, all while focusing on internal control and risk-management
