Summary
Arbor’s corporate office in Uniondale, NY, has an immediate opening for a Capital Markets Analyst. The Analyst will assist with providing mortgage rates (Fixed and ARM) for Fannie Mae DUS and FHA (HUD) multifamily loans, analyze and interpret individual multifamily transactions, develop knowledge of procedures and industry guidelines and effectively communicate with internal personnel and the firm’s business partners, customers and brokers.
Responsibilities
* Calculate mortgage rates in accordance with internal policy. * Provide a daily email with current rates and spreads for various loan and prepayment structures. * Stay informed with micro and macro level market changes and effectively communicate to the origination team how rates are impacted to manage and maintain the expectations of Arbor’s customers. * Develop a comprehensive understanding of the Fannie Mae Delegated Underwriting and Servicing (DUS) guide. * Work with investment banks/dealers in which Arbor sells MBS’ to calculate and deliver rate indications and quotes to originators and underwriters. * Provide full time phone and e-mail coverage. * Update various systems and reports with detailed loan, underwriting and rate terms subsequent to rate lock. * Maintain a database used to track quotes for applications and term sheets. * Coordinate and communicate on a daily basis with various departments internally, including underwriting, origination (sales), screening and treasury details and issues on individual transactions, monthly projections, daily rate and market updates, etc. * Support Originators in developing and understanding of product information and its effects on rates and profitability. * Maintain detailed electronic records of various files and confirmations. * Assemble the documentation and approvals from internal parties required for rate lock. * Monitor the pipeline from application through settlement. * Prepare miscellaneous projects which will require a proficient knowledge of excel to develop or expand on reports and models. * Various administrative tasks and other support services as needed.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance **Experience:** * 1-3 years of experience in real estate finance or a related field * Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess the ability to create complex models. * The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong analytical and presentation skills and will possess the initiative to work in an independent and reliable manner
