Summary

Maps Test engineering is looking for an exceptionally talented senior manager to scale, lead, and inspire teams responsible for the qualification of our Maps clients. You will be expected to provide clear measurements of new feature quality, build a robust automation pipeline, and ultimately driving and constantly improving product quality.

Responsibilities
  • You will lead our client test engineering teams.
  • You will be responsible for Maps client quality across iOS, WatchOS, and OS X.
  • You will be expected to rapidly grow your organization to keep pace with ambitious goals.
  • Maps Test Engineering tests highly complex systems that span across clients, services and data. We need an experienced engineering manager that can work to understand requirements cross-functionally and ensure we deliver better features faster with great quality.
  • You thrive in a fast paced environment and can adapt quickly.
  • You’re equally happy diving deep into a technology area as you are providing guidance and process to get teams pointed in the right direction.
Ideal Candidate

Key Qualifications

  • 7 years of engineering management experience including scaling a large organization while delivering on an aggressive roadmap
  • Experience establishing a quality organization from scratch
  • Experience in a test or QA Manager role owning release decisions, scoping work, and driving bug convergence
  • Track record of attracting, retaining, and growing people to create a self organized and highly empowered team
  • Ability to motivate, instill accountability, and achieve results
  • Experience creating and leveraging qualitative metrics and measurements
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, impeccable organizational and time management skills
  • Able to work in an ambiguous and highly interdependent work environment to get things done in an efficient and tactful way
  • Track record of building strong working relationships across a large organization

Education

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience
