Summary
Alsco is a privately-held company that is a leader in the textile services industry. Alsco’s internal IT department provides remote technical support for branch locations throughout the US and Canada. Alsco is seeking a Support Center/Abel Trainer who can use exceptional troubleshooting skills to support end users in the use of technical applications.
Responsibilities
* Provide technical support to end users on a variety of issues. * Identify, research, and resolve technical problems. * Respond to telephone calls, email, web and personnel requests for technical support. * Document, track, and monitor problems to ensure a timely resolution. * Conduct occasional field training of individual branch personnel on all aspects of computer-based systems. * Conduct remote training of branch personnel on our in-house software application “Abel” using web based (i.e. Adobe Connect) or VNC applications. * Evaluate and document new or changed computer systems. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Support Center Supervisor.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications:** * Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, excellent time management skills, and strong attention to detail. * Proven ability to multi-task and work with minimal supervision. * Demonstrated ability to effectively relate to all levels of employees. * Must be able to qualify for a credit card to be used for travel expenses that will be reimbursed by the company. * Must have a valid driver’s license, good driving record, and be of age to rent an automobile. * Must be able to obtain a passport and be able to travel outside of the United States. * Two or more years training experience (preferably in a business environment). **You will bring to the job:** * Competent troubleshooting and analytical skills * Attention to detail * Take ownership of tasks * Be a team player * Have the ability to multitask **Education:** * High School graduation or similar experience and some basic technical knowledge and skills related to above qualifications. **Travel Requirements:** * Ability to travel 40% of the time to company owned and operated locations in the US and Canada. **Typical Physical Activity:** * Physical Demands consist of standing, sitting, walking, stooping, fine dexterity, driving, stooping, traveling by plane or vehicle, grasping, reading, speaking, hearing and lifting up to 20 lbs. * Physical Requirements consist of being able to perform the physical demands. **Typical Environmental Conditions:** * General office environments or areas of a typical industrial laundry facility.
