Summary
We are looking for an experienced Social Impact Program Manager to design, manage, and scale AlphaSights’ pro bono business, “Knowledge for Good.” This will be a full-time role with global responsibility, based in New York or London.
Responsibilities
Little about this role is scripted and it will take a passionate and experienced self-starter to make the most of the platform we’re providing. Essential components of the role will include: **Strategy and planning** * Identify the key goals for the initiative, and decide how we’ll measure progress towards and achievement of these goals * Work with key stakeholders across the firm to design the organization and processes required * Plan and budget the required resources and ensure that success is measurable **Client development and account management** * Manage our existing pro bono client relationships and extract critical insight and learnings from them * Identify, qualify and eventually onboard further clients into the KFG portfolio * Identify innovative ways to partner with KFG clients over and above the pro bono provision of our service **Project delivery** * The successful candidate will immerse themselves in our core business for an initial period to enable them to function as a fully fledged member of our Client Service Team, before taking on KFG as a new client segment * When familiar with our processes, you will directly manage and deliver on key KFG projects, and elicit active project support from Client Service Team members worldwide * Oversee a smooth delivery process across the global Client Service Team to ensure that all pro bono clients receive the same excellent quality of service as our core business as the initiative scales **Partnership development** * In addition to KFG clients, identify and engage other strategic partners, negotiating partnership agreements where appropriate - from media to KOLs **Internal communication and training** * Conduct training to foster awareness and enthusiasm for what we’re trying to achieve, why this is important, and how all AlphaSights team members should interact with the program * Provide regular updates to ensure that the wider team is well informed **External communication / PR** * Act as the face of our pro bono efforts to the external world, representing AlphaSights and our social impact work * Work with Marketing to plan and execute on a communications strategy that will target key existing and potential audiences. Content will include blogs, case studies, impact reports, videos, intranet and internet sites **Monitoring and analysis** * The Program Manager will regularly review all aspects of the program to ensure that resources are allocated most efficiently
Ideal Candidate
**What we’re looking for** This is an ambitious initiative and we view this as a multi-year endeavor. The role will provide a runway towards autonomous stewardship of a high-profile part of our firm, as well as immersion with innovative players in the social-impact world. To succeed, the Program Manager must possess the following qualities: * Self-starter: Must be able to think creatively and act on own initiative * Results-oriented: The successful candidate will be motivated to drive significant impact and measurable results * Passion: This role requires passion for the social impact space, for our value proposition, and how the two can combine in innovative and valuable ways * Excellent communication skills: You will need to convincingly convey the AlphaSights value proposition to audiences unfamiliar with our service, and effectively work cross-office and cross-seniority within the firm to ensure understanding and enthusiasm **Requirements** * 3+ Years work experience in social impact, preferably within the pro bono operations of a professional services firm * A thorough understanding of AlphaSights’ service, a belief in our mission, and a passion for how we can apply our core capabilities to the social impact sector * Strong academic credentials, including a minimum of a 2:1 honours degree (UK), or over 3.5 GPA (US), or equivalent * Fluency in English is essential
