Responsibilities
* Serve as the first line of contact for incoming incident reports, including OSHA, DOT, general liability and injuries and ensure all appropriate personnel are contacted and incident actions, outcomes and associated documentation is complete, recorded in safety database and/or placed in appropriate file locations. * Assist in the administration of the of driver qualification process to ensure driver documentation is properly compiled, accurate and up-to-date including, coordination of motor vehicle record check process and communication of results to responsible management. * Ensure branch, regional and corporate safety scorecard results are compiled, updated and posted. * Responsible for updating regulatory information and customer reporting requirements and associated safety data. * Assist in the development of presentations of performance results, protocols and initiatives, and ensure deliverables are made available to the appropriate levels of management. * Assist in branch desktop safety audits to ensure locations maintain required certifications and training records per regulatory requirements and/or company mandates. * Provide support in the development and maintenance of documentation and records, including but not limited to, job safety analysis, OSHA and DOT procedures, training, business continuity and emergency action plans. * Coordinate specialized safety training and assist in development of media content and/or the acquisition of external resources. * Perform other duties as assigned * This position requires the ability to lift over 20 lbs. on an occasional basis, and/or move up to 0 - 20 lbs. on a constant basis. * This position may require frequent standing and/or walking and or constant sitting. These physical requirements must be met with or without accommodation.
Ideal Candidate
* 2 or more years of experience in an office setting; preferably in commercial electrical operations, transmission/distribution operations, or general construction operations. * Must be able to interface with, and provide general project support to, operations and safety professionals. * Associates Degree in Business Administration or related field preferred. * Practical administrative experience; preferably with safety, insurance and workers’ compensation policies/regulations. * Strong written and oral communication skills, strong attention to detail, is self-directed and has the ability to think logically. * Strong working knowledge of PC for Windows, Microsoft Word PowerPoint, Visio, Internet, Email, and SAP software is preferred. * Excellent customer service skills include being courteous, responsive, accurate and competent.
